Management Analyst - Community Development Dept.

This is not just a job; it is an opportunity to help shape the future of Skokie, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for positive change!  As a valued member of the Community Development team, you will play a key role in supporting the department’s planning, housing, building, and economic vitality functions by conducting complex research and analysis, preparing reports and memorandums, evaluating programs and policies, and assisting with budgetary and performance management tasks.  You will conduct research and analysis to support department initiatives related to land use planning, housing programs, economic development, building inspection, and code enforcement.  You will prepare and present accurate written reports, memoranda, and visual materials for stakeholders, Boards, Commissions, and the Village Board; Coordinates and supports communication efforts for community engagement initiatives, public noticing requirements, and represents the Dept. at civic and other meetings as necessary, including evening meetings.  Performs field work as Dept. activities necessitate. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Valid Driver’s License; Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, business, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred; Minimum three years of related experience in local municipal government desired; Must be organized, able to work independently, and effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, team environment.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite applications, data analysis tools & GIS; Must be able to organize data in clear, understandable formats; Must follow all safety rules of the Village.
 
The salary range for this position is $75,179 - $98,348.  The annualized starting salary range is $75,179 - $82,885 (DOQ). Generous benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, & life insurance; Employee Assistance Plan, IMRF retirement pension plan; paid vacation days, sick days, and holidays in the first year; and 457(b) retirement savings.
