Temporary Seasonal Employment - Village of Skokie

The Village of Skokie is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill three (3) temporary seasonal positions supporting various divisions of our Public Works Department.  In this position you will assist with solid waste collection using hydraulically controlled tippers; pavement maintenance & repair; landscaping maintenance & litter control; dead animal pick-up; tree removal and maintenance; water and sewer repairs, stormwater maintenance, and other work-related duties, as assigned. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Must have flexibility to work 2 – 5 days per week, not to exceed 1,000 working hours in the 12-month period immediately following date of employment.
 
Hourly pay range: $20.89 - $23.03, DOQ. This position is not eligible for any benefits.
 
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a H.S. diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License required. CDL Class B License desirable, but not required.  You must be in good physical condition & be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions. This position requires a physical examination and drug screening prior to employment.
