The Skokie Farmers’ Market is a Bushel Basket filled with Family Fun!

October 05, 2017
Bring the children, both young and old to the Skokie Farmers’ Market on Sunday, October 8, as the market is jam-packed with fun for the entire family!  Meet Skokie’s very own firefighters while they visit the market from 9 a.m. to noon to participate in a water demonstration to earn a firefighter’s helmet and sticker badge, while supplies last!

The Market is open Sundays through November 5 and the hours are 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the west half of the Village Hall parking lot, 5127 Oakton Street.

A wide selection of fresh-grown seasonal fruits and vegetables are always in abundance at the Farmers’ Market. Also available are fresh baked goods, farm fresh eggs, a variety of meat and fish, mushrooms and cheeses, fresh cut flowers, plants and much more. Arrive early for the best selection!

The market is sponsored by the Consumer Affairs Commission and supports local farming to bring fresh, nutrient-dense produce to the community. There are new vendors and other fun surprises at this year's Farmers' Market for families, including a Touch-a-Truck event onOctober 22, Trick-or-Treating on October 29, document destruction and pumpkin recycling event on November 5, and visits with a variety of musicians.
